What is energy performance Contract?

An Energy Performance Contract (EPC) is a legally binding agreement between an energy service provider (ESCO) and a client organization about energy efficiency retrofits. The ESCO evaluates the facility, identifies energy-saving opportunities, implements improvements, and ensures energy savings. Over a certain time period, these savings are used to cover the cost of the modifications and the ESCO’s services. After the payment term, the client will benefits from ongoing energy savings.
